I am slowly (but surely) working my way through issue two of FELT. My real work has taken it's toll and FELT has slowed down. But it has certainly not stopped. Hopefully some of you are thankful of this. Anyway, I have been searching for inspiration for the final section of the magazine which is all about icons of the everyday. I thought a mish-mash collage style would suit the idea perfectly but as some of you know when you set out to make a collage it can become contrived and no longer organic. I want this article to have a certain sleek element to it but I do not want to lose the vibrance you get from a homemade collage.

I have been collecting images from the great world of Pinterest (what a brilliant site for such things) to help cement the look and feel I want my imagery to have. As you can see they are all quite different but all suck you in and make you look twice. This is the vibe I want the imagery in the editorial to have because (in my opinion) that is what the article is all about. And since FELT is a fashion journal I thought the best thing to do was to include outfits of our home-grown bloggers within the collages. Let's just hope that this will work out... Please.

FELT fashion journal...

I sure you all have heard at this stage but if you haven't I'll tell all again... I have decided to make my graduate piece FELT Fashion Journal into an actual online magazine. Free to all of course. I just had so much fun making the first one that I thought why not just make it for fun in my spare time!? (And it is a wee bit of extra experience for myself and all who work on the magazine.) I am currently working on issue two which is all about icons... I am having a blast and I will of course keep you all updated on the blog from time to time but for more frequent updates just "like" the FELT facebook page which is here!

And thanks so much for all the support I have gotten so far! Really means a lot...

So I'm back! 

And I am delighted to be! It has been a seriously hectic few weeks but I am so glad to say that I managed it... I made a magazine for my end of year graduate exhibition. Felt Fashion Journal is my baby! For the exhibition I actually made the magazine but unfortunately there is only one copy and I really really wanted to share it with you guys so I thought I would create a digital copy.

I seriously would like to thank everyone who helped me. My brilliant journalists Sarah Waldron, Catherine Carr and Sinead Kelly. My absolutely beautiful models Margaret Urbanowicz and Emma Kilduff. And my painfully patient costume supervisor Christina Byrne.  I could not do it without you!
