If this blog was a shoe it would definitely be these! Pink, laced, chunky, heeled and super quirky... Oh Swedish Hasbeens where have you been all my life??? Only there is a teeny tiny problem. They are around €400! An insane price to be honest. Sigh... I shall have to search for similar versions that are a little more purse friendly (if anyone knows of these similar versions do tell me.) I need to stop looking at things I cannot afford. It's putting me down.
Thought I'd share these STUNNING and super cute rings with you guys! They are from a British shop called Tatty Devine. I found these thanks to the blogger girls over at What Will I Wear Today. You guys know how much I love rings so you can understand my excitement, maybe not agree but at least understand. These rings are large, colourful and made out of perspex (which I think is really quirky). Needless to say I want them all and there are more... a white one, a purple-ish/navy one and a smokey gold one.
These babies will keep you on trend without breaking the bank, or look like you're trying too hard. And talk about a little bit of spring on your finger.

I thought I'd post it before it got too far away from Halloween... Last week was my course's Halloween party and in true Rose Tinted Uncertainty fashion I went as a 1940s pin up sailor. I really wish I had a good picture of the whole dress because it is indeed my favourite dress. I'm sure I will make an excuse to wear it again and then there will be photos, I promise.
Anyway I thought you'd all be interested in my attempt at victory rolls. Tricky little buggers indeed! Mountains of hairspray and patience were used. I was happy with the results though and I am planning on mastering the art so I can wear my hair like this more often (without the teeny sailor hat of course). I also had little white gloves as well... I looked awfully cute!
So tomorrow night I am heading out for my first ever comedy gig. I know, how have I gone this long without going to one before? Well I was waiting for the right guy... Dylan Moran. Hands down my favourite comedian. Do I need to explain why?
Well anyway me being, well, me; I am racking my brain to come up with the perfect "comedy-show-at-vicar-street" outfit. I have a feeling most people don't give this a second thought. Somewhere between comfy and smart I'm presuming, or maybe just comfy. But that will just not work for me especially since I am also presuming a few jars will be had after said comedy show. So what to wear??? Well, I am going to take inspiration from these lovely ladies. Fun, fresh, with a little bit of sassy smartness thrown in for good measure. I am going to do my hardest to remember to take a photo, so you can all let me know whether I failed spectacularly or not.
In my head at the moment I am thinking black maxi skirt, mary janes and a band tee...

Over three days and nights, Vintage at Southbank Centre sees the Royal Festival Hall dressed up as never before. All six floors of the iconic riverside building will be transformed into a 13-venue playground where, over 13 hours each day (from 12pm to 1am), pass holders can learn the dances of the decades, take in over seventy live performances (including three themed multi-artist ‘revues’ in the Royal Festival Hall) boogie along to the tunes of an incredible 150 DJs, enjoy exclusive catwalk shows and decade specific make-overs and sample Vintage food and cocktails. While the Royal Festival Hall Cafe is transformed into a North/South divide pub; the Ballroom will re-create the sights, sounds and smells of Wigan Casino in the late 1970s; the basement provides a suitably industrial location for a 80s-style rave. Elsewhere though the building will be rooms be dedicated to Prohibition-era jazz played original shellac; 1940s swing; 1950s rock ‘n’ roll; 1960s era pop; the pioneering DJs of disco era and iconic London clubs Le Beat Route, Blitz and Wag Club. Beyond offering what is arguably the world’s best-ever excuse for dressing up, Vintage at Southbank Centre boasts the most incredible line up of music from across eight decades, including themed revues in the Royal Festival Hall, the tunes of 150 top DJs to a re-creation of a jumping 1950s rock ‘n’ roll joint.
So whats a gal to wear?Not the usual wellies and cut up shorts, oh no! This is a festival for the retro glam and vintage darlings!
